DEMI and Sir Ace McQueen among the Zinnias. Ink with digital color.
Choosing between bold lines captured with ink, soft graphite, or the omission of lines using blocks of color to render size and space are what I consider while executing a print project and deciding how it translates to paper, another surface, or the web. Each medium I work with has a unique effect on the overall outcome of the final artwork. Even though every piece begins with the same style sketch, it is important to understand the variations that can be achieved by using each material and method for the final rendering.
Every couple weeks, I open my studio to the public. This gives me an opportunity to connect with my community, introduce my work to people who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity, inspire and exchange ideas, as well as make art sales or arrange future commissions. If you'd like to join during a future Open Studio event, please email me. Otherwise, keep your eyes open for announcements on my social networks.
A revolving collection of discounted artwork awaits your purchase in the custom created portfolio sleeves of my salvaged antique restored trunk. Have a peek. There's always something for everyone.
If my images inspire your own idea, or if you would like me to work with you or someone else you would like to gift an artwork to, I am happy to collaborate and create your perfect visual story. Gift Cards are the greatest way to provoke creative thinking and to inspire someone to treat themself to beautiful original art.
